I actually try not to use this app and have a Chrome shortcut to WebUI3 on my home screen. The only reason to have this app on your device is to receive BI push notifications. Charles Lucero: The app is not that bad overall. I think there are things that old be improved like all apps but this does what I need, enable and disable alerts from my phone. ## only from my lan. Have not opened it up for external access.
J A: Love the server software. But lt feels like no quality assurance is ever done. Server side is solid if and only if you stay behind and ignore latest updates till next stable update. Mobile app is perfect illustration of what happens when otherwise solid company outsource. You get that “not made is USA” sensation. For serious business application use UI3. For something less serious slow and clunky mobile app might be acceptable.
A K: For years after an update cameras load very slowly remotely yet blazing fast on LAN or web. Annoying ongoing repeat notifications for camera alerts. You get the first notification then constant random repeat notifications for that old alert. It should only be one unless repeated trigger but it does not work that way. The notification hell is probably the most irritating thing about this app otherwise it’s fairly sound.
Forid A: Not the greatest app, considering the money paid for the app and blue iris itself. Push notifications are sometimes uber slow and seem to be unreliable even with background optimisation off. CAN WE PLEASE START SEEING SOME MEANINGFUL UPDATES and investment app wise? Recording also doesn’t work, you end up with a corrupted file.
D N: Worse and worse. BI 4, had no issues with 2 way audio. BI5 has never worked with any cameras. Developer also got greedy and no longer allows version updates unless you pay an annual fee just to have things still not work well. You used to be able to update within versions, such as 5.xx in hopes issues would be fixed, but no longer.
A Google user: I have had Blue Iris for a long time and am dissappointed with the customer service. In this app the widgets are about useless because they don’t load properly. I have had one video issue with the software in which i was completly ignored after a few failed attempts to fix it. I would avoid this brand all together unless you dont care about customer service…
